Pupil Premium

If you currently receive one of the following  benefits you may also be eligible to receive free school meals: 

  • Income Support  

  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance

  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance  

  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 

  • The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit 

  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than  £16,190) 

  • Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit) 

  • Universal Credit (with annual earned income of no more than £7400 after tax and not including any benefits you get) 

The system for applying for Free School Meals is straightforward. To apply, log on to www.hertfordshire.gov.uk and search for the Free School Meals box. Fill in your application form online or phone the customer service centre on 0300 123 4048 and the rest will be done for you. Your application will be processed within seven days.
