If you are in any doubt about your mental health please don’t hesitate to speak with the school counsellor, the Wellbeing Team (in A block) the Pastoral team, your Head of Year or any other member of staff that you feel comfortable with.

The YMCA, as well as 6th form students, run wellbeing groups, they currently run a boxing club. For further information please speak with a member of the wellbeing team.

STEM4 - Supporting Teenage Mental Health

Stem4 aims to improve teenage mental health by stemming commonly occurring mental health issues at an early stage. It covers self-esteem, eating disorders, anxiety, depression and self-harm offering information on each. It provides useful apps too.

Offers a free, online 7 week course for young people struggling with self-harm. The courses are run by friendly, trained counsellors and volunteer youth workers. You don’t need an adult to refer you or sign you up, and no-one will see or hear you during the sessions – you’ll just join in via the chatbox. We want to help you to find your next steps towards recovery, wherever you are on your journey.
